There is a need in this country for a coordinated effort to,
1) identify those individuals who fall through the cracks,
2) clarify what they need to live their best lives, and
3) rally the support it will take to meet those needs.
While there are a variety of governmental and nonprofit organizations across the country who focus on specific social and cultural needs, there is a large, untapped resource that could be marshalled to help – the general community.
Think of the number of skilled, compassionate individuals, like yourself, living in each city and each neighborhood in the USA. Think of the impact they could make within their own neighborhoods if only they had a way to easily connect with someone in need.
“I Am Your Team” is a new nonprofit located in Santa Barbara, California. We are poised and ready to bring people together to help those individuals living without a safety net, without close family ties, or without a connection to a local support agency.
